Your home's gutters serve a significant purpose in the protection and well-being of your home. They not only channel water away from it but also protect your home’s foundation and landscaping, they keep siding and masonry clean, and help prevent erosion caused by water damage.

Getting an estimate for new gutters should be easy and seamless, no pun intended. In most instances, new gutters will be seamless, hidden hanger attached, white or almond in color to comply with HOA restrictions, and one of only two sizes in one standard profile, 5” or 6”. 5” gutters with the everyday standard profile are called 5k, and 6” gutters are called 6k, pretty simple. It is also a standard to install 2”x3” downspouts with the 5k gutters, and 3”x4” downspouts with 6” gutters. We use Gutter RX Leaf Guard if you are interested in gutter guard.

If the above describes your situation: you want either white or almond gutters and you want the standard profile in either 5k or 6k with the normally installed downspouts to match the gutters size, with or without gutter guard, than the rest is 90% of the time estimable remotely, because of our use of Nearmap photogrammetry software. Gutters and downspouts can be measured from the computer, and firm estimates can be generated in something less than 5-10 minutes.

     Our process is as follows:

  1. Fill out the form on this page thoroughly and click submit.
  2. Once I see it, typically the same day, no later than the next ( I still work on the roof ), I will call you and I can measure your gutters on the computer and create the cost estimate. We can also accomplish a lot over the phone when it comes to answering any specific questions you may have. For instance, you may not have an HOA restriction and want a different color for gutters. I can email you while we are on the phone a color chart of what is available.
  3. Should it be that the price we quote you over the phone works for you, we will then make a site visit, typically the next business day, to take pictures of what is there, and make sure we do not have any questions for you and also to answer any questions you may have for us ( think “should I add a downspout to this long gutter run at the other end?”, or, “Are my existing gutters the bigger size?” Etc. )
  4. We will then send you the estimate for the quoted price, barring any additional downspouts or gutters, for you to sign so we can schedule the job.

In summary, because of technology, gutter and downspout replacement lends itself extremely well to reversing the standard process of scheduling initial meetings and then getting pricing. The unknowns in guttering are few, and typically do not impact cost in a way that makes a notable difference. Also, the cost of new gutters and downspouts is typically not so high and the price spread from company to company so great that one should spend a lot of time on getting the lowest price. Rather, hiring a company that is known to stand behind their work is the more important goal to achieve, and the time saved working with a company taking advantage of technology to quote your project is time you can use on things more important than meeting with contractors.

Thanks for reading. I hope we can provide you with an estimate for your gutters.
